OFSAA championship results — Etobicoke, Nov 4, 2023

Three divisional teams and three individuals competed for East Northumberland Secondary School (ENSS) at the Ontario Federation of School Athletic Associations (OFSAA) cross-country championship in Etobicoke on Saturday. This meet featured almost 2000 of the top high school runners in Ontario.

For only the third time in ENSS history, two divisional teams finished in the top 10.

ENSS novice boys were eighth. They were led by COSSA champion Jack Turner (67) who finished the 4 km course in 14:15. Jack’s teammates were Dawson Dunham (76), Sullivan Tait (91), Dominick Heller (132) and Ethan McDougall (195).

The ENSS junior boys were tenth. Their first runner, Owen McDougall (44), finished the 5 km course in 16:07. The rest of the team included Chase Eddy (101), Noah Groeneveld (139), Nate Boomhouwer (148) and Liam Read (204).

Kora Ferguson was 89th in the junior girls’ race and she covered the 5 km in 19:56 while Cadence Tait was 158th in the senior girls’ race. Addie Davis was 57th in the para race.

ENSS senior boys ran without one of their top runners and finished 32nd. Their lead runner – Aidan Molenhuis (158) ran the 6 km course in 21:47. His teammates were Dominic Noreau (185), Carter Geens (210), Jacob Wamboldt (250) and Owen Turner (253).
