ENSS Dragons Off To A Good Start

ENSS Cross-Country – News from the Trinity Invitational – Wednesday, September 20, 2023

On Wednesday, the ENSS cross-country team started the 2023 competitive season with excellent results at the 39th Annual Trinity College School Harrier.  Over 600 runners competed at this meet.  Early results suggest that an exciting season lies ahead for the Blue Dragons!

Individually, four ENSS runners finished in the top 10.  Jack Turner was 3rd in the novice boys’ 4.4 km race (16:21) and Sullivan Tait finished 7th in the same race (16:49).  Owen McDougall was 8th (18:52) in the junior boys’ 5km race.  Candence Tait was 8th in the senior girls’ 6 km race (26:31).

The novice boys’ team – Jack Turner, Sullivan Tait, Dominick Heller (17), Dawson Dunham (21), Ethan McDougall (25), Alex Botting (34), and Walter Levesque (96) – won their division.

Junior boys – Owen McDougall, Chase Eddy (12), Nate Boomhouwer (17), Noah Groeneveld (23), Orion Kovacs (37), Liam Read (43), Jon Trescher (84), and Cale Flood-Graham – finished 3rd.

Senior boys – Aidan Molenhuis (21), Ethan Miklos (23), Dom Noreau (28), Carter Geens (38), Jacob Wamboldt (52), Owen Turner (64), Aiden Guitar (85), Todd Burgess (93), Casey Barker (95), and Luca Walsh (122) – were 3rd.

Junior girls – Kora Ferguson (12), Aleena Bos (33), Sophia Waite (41), and Alicia Bromfield (59) – finished 6th.

Novice girls – Rachel Horton (26), Caris Hennessy (56), Addison Hill (65), Addie Davis (84), and Chloe Nichols – were 7th.

Senior girls – Cadence Tait, Elena De Luca (50), and Jordyn Newberry (65) – ran their best, but did not have a complete team.

Congratulations to all blue dragons who competed in the season opener and good luck in your next meet, next Wednesday at RMC, Kingston.
