Driver killed

Both the vehicle and the County Road 25 house in Cramahe it crashed into, went up in flames during the early morning hours of Sunday, Sept 17.
The crash occurred in the area of Huycke Road north of Castleton.
A next door neighbour, Mike Orrell, alerted the residents of the house about the fire and those in both homes were able to escape.
The driver, unidentified by the OPP as of the most recent news release, was killed at the site.
The home which was struck by the truck after it hit a a ditch and hydro pole guide-wire was completed destroyed. Occupants fled with very little other than family photos.
Estimated damage is $2.5-million.
“County Rd 25 remained closed in the area for several hours while OPP Technical Collision Investigators conducted an investigation at the scene,” the OPP report states.
“The investigation into the circumstances of the collision remains ongoing.”
