Warkworth Fall Fair Ready to Go!

Warkworth – Thurs., Sept. 7, 2023 – Percy Agricultural Society is gearing up for the biggest event of the season. The red barn on the Warkworth Fairgrounds has been renovated and finishing touches have been happening on the new horse pull fencing. Preparation is in the final stages for the 171st Warkworth Fall Fair on Sept 8th , 9th and 10th.
There’s something for everyone with Amusement Rides, Horse & Pony Pull, Need for Speed Horse Show, Truck & Tractor Pull, Homecraft, Firefighters Challenge, Beer Garden, Four Hawgs BBQ, Baby Show, Elimination Car Draws, Classic Vehicle Show, 4-H Beef Show & Warkworth Beef Expo, Zoo to You, Soper Creek Wildlife Show, Hot Diggity Dogs, Talent Show, Touch-a-Truck, Bike Action Booth, Agri-Music, Kitchen Magic, Wolf Creek Carving, and Music…Music…Music!
The weekend will be chocked full of live entertainment starting Friday night at 5:30 pm with The Blue Rigbys, followed by Rayzor’s Edge and the AC/DC Tribute band Hells Bells (sponsored by Warkworth Music Fest). Also available Friday will be the Four Hawgs BBQ from 4:30 to 7 pm with pulled pork or beef brisket for purchase. Saturday’s lineup includes Irish Millie and the Canadian Celtic Rock Band Mudmen starting at 4:30 pm. All entertainment will be in the beer gardens at the Warkworth Fairgrounds and is included with gate admission; only $10 per day or $25 for a weekend pass. Come and rock the night away!
New this year will be Cope Amusement rides and Blackrock Climbers to thrill the young and young at heart. There are lots of shows and activities for the kids with Denholm and his balloon animals, Sheep Shearing, Trent Hills Library Activity Table, Kids Pedal Tractor Pull, Fair Fact Challenge, Wagon Rides, Hot Diggity Dogs, Holly the Holstein, Agri-Music, and the Talent Show. Come show us your stuff and win a prize!
Did someone say pie?? Warkworth and area has some of the best bakers around. Join in the fun at our BYBP (Bake Your Best Pie) Competition and Live Auction. Competitors will make any kind of homemade pie and enter the competition with a chance to win 1st– $50, 2nd– $30 or 3rd– $20 prize money. Pies have to be entered by 10:30 am with judging starting at 11 am. All pies will be auctioned off to the highest bidder at our opening ceremonies with proceeds going towards hosting the Warkworth Fair.
And don’t forget the Pancake Breakfast Fundraiser on Sunday Sept 10th from 9-11 am. Pancakes & sausage served with local Sandy Flats maple syrup under the Big Top: $8 for Adults and $5 for kids (12 and under). Don’t be late!
