Fireworks in Hastings Marked the Finale of the Day’s Events
Hastings – Sun., July 2, 2023 – Yesterday’s Canada Day was a huge success as Campbellford, Hastings and Warkworth all celebrated in their own way with their own activities.
It was set up so people could begin the day with the Rotary Breakfast at Campbellford and enjoy morning events then move on to Warkworth and wrapping up with the Hastings events which included a parade, Upper Canada Axe Throwing and more with the big finale which was the fireworks on the Trent River at dusk.

CAMPBELLFORD: Old Mill Park – 8 am to 12:30 pm
Rotary Club of Campbellford Pancake Breakfast and Phoxy Music
Teddy Bear parade with Sparky and the Trent Hills Fire Department
Cornhole with the Campbellford District Racquet and Curling Club
Stories and crafts with the Trent Hills Public Library
Games, crafts, treats, face painting and Zach the Juggler and Balloon Artist
WARKWORTH: Mill Creek Park – 11 am to 2 pm
Live music at the Band Shell
Fun for the whole family: bouncy castle, face painting, games, races and prizes
Wear your best red & white and enjoy the world-famous Warkworth cupcakes
HASTINGS: Hastings Village Green and Hastings Waterfront – 2 pm to dusk
Party in the Park with live music, Upper Canada Axe Throwing, beverage pavilion and more – gates open at 2 pm (15 Front St. W behind post office)
Canada Day Parade (4 pm – Front Street)
Fireworks on the Trent River at dusk (approx. 9 pm)
