Is going to get a lot of financial help the first year of university

The W. R. Baxter Scholarship Committee is pleased to announce the annual scholarship award is being upgraded to $5,000.00 for the 2023 graduating year.
The recipient of the award will be a graduate student of East Northumberland Secondary School who has achieved the highest mark in Grade 12 University Preparation Physics and is continuing a post secondary education.
This year marks the 60th Anniversary of the annual scholarship, established to honour the commitment and memory of William Robert Baxter ; W. R. had a teaching career spanning more than 40 years; 20 as the highly respected principal of Colborne High School until its closure in 1962.
The scholarship is administered by the Kawartha Pine Ridge District School Board and the award is presented annually to the qualifying student during the graduation ceremony.
