Northumberland County, together with Metrolinx and Hop In Technologies, is proud to deliver Commuter Connect – a pilot shuttle bus service connecting the communities of Northumberland with each other and with GO Transit service in Oshawa.
OVERVIEW
Commuter Connect will increase flexibility and choice for Northumberland residents in their local commute.
Bus routes have been created based on over 1,100 responses to a recent community survey. Survey results showed a demand for access to early morning bus service, for transit options between Northumberland communities, and for connections to the GO Transit network. We are striving to meet community needs!
Over a 12-month period, partners will collect and analyze data on ridership. This data will help to further define the extent of local need, interest and opportunity for increased transit options for local commutes – and between Northumberland County and the Oshawa GO.
