Thieves Allegedly Stole Credit Cards
HAVELOCK-BELMONT-METHUEN TOWNSHIP – Thurs., Oct. 5, 2023 – Members of the Peterborough County Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) are asking for the public’s assistance in identifying two individuals who may be connected in the use of stolen credit cards from the Havelock area.
On September 10, 2023, OPP officers received a call where the complainant stated their pickup truck had been entered in the night and a wallet that was left in there had been taken. The wallet contained two credit cards which were later used at a local variety store in Havelock on September 10,2023 and September 11, 2023. Video surveillance footage captured images of the two individuals.
The first suspect attended on September 10, 2023, described as a white male, wearing a black t-shirt and red shorts with short faded dark hair and a short dark and grey beard.
The second suspect attended on September 11, 2023, and is described as male wearing a black top, black pants, black shoes, a grey baseball style cap, and a white facemask.
Investigators are actively looking for information that may lead to the identification of the suspect(s) involved. Police urge the public to call in tips on this case, or others, to the Peterborough OPP at 705-742-0401, the non-emergency line (888) 310-1122 or to Crime Stoppers.
The OPP would like to remind everyone to lock your vehicle doors when not in use and not to leave any valuables in the vehicle or in open view.
