Northumberland Hispanic Cultural Club Celebrates

Cobourg – Tues., Oct. 3, 2023. Northumberland Hispanic Cultural Club Inc. (NHCC) begins the celebration of Hispanic Heritage Month with the opening ceremony of the Hispanic Film Festival on Tuesday, October 3, 6:30 p.m. at the Citizens’ Forum, Victoria Hall, Cobourg.
The Northumberland Hispanic Film Festival is the beginning of a series of Hispanic cultural events that NHCC presents for 2,023.
On September 20, The Northumberland County Council proclaimed the month of October as Hispanic Heritage Month in Northumberland County, in order to promote and celebrate Hispanic Heritage.

Hispanic Heritage Activities in Northumberland are as follows:
Northumberland Hispanic Film Festival 2023: Selected films from Latin America, October 3, 4 and 5, at the Citizen’s Forum, Victoria Hall, Cobourg, Second Floor. Opening Night October 3 – 6:30 p.m.
Latin Hispanic Canadian Women in the Arts: From October 6 to December 10, 2,022, at the Colborne Art Gallery, Heritage Room.
Noche Latina-Dinner Gala: Dance and live music with Carla & Latin Train, Latin food prepared by Chef Brian Forsythe. October 13, 6:00 p.m. Best Western Plus Cobourg Inn & Convention Centre, Cobourg.
Workshop: NHCC and Act with Purpose Presents “Latin Hispanic participation in Media”. Saturday, October 21, at Lions Community Centre, Cobourg.
The Colores: A concert with Fabian Arciniegas, Sunday, October 22, at 2 p.m. Victoria Concert Hall, at Victoria Hall, Cobourg.
Hispania: Big Bands Edition. Latin American standards, featuring The Commodores Orchestra with Rosa Ortega Tyrrell and Fabian Arciniegas. October 27, 7:30 p.m. Victoria Concert Hall at Victoria Hall, Cobourg.
