About the band
“My name is Ed Smith and the band is called The Even Squares. (A name) we stole it from Okie from Muskogee…a place where even squares can have a ball.
The players are a collection of some of the best Canada has. Each one has a great resume. Most are from the GTA and surrounding areas.
It’s very rare to get them all together as they are all, in demand, recording and live musicians.
We play Classic/Traditional Country songs with some Bluegrass and Rock and Roll sprinkled in.
I get to do the sangin’…I live right here in downtown beautiful Port Hope.
Moved here a couple years ago. I came to get a haircut…and never left.”
