250 manufacturing delegates expected
The Manufacturing Conference team has announced Cobourg as the location for the annual NMA Manufacturing Conference event.
In partnership with Northumberland County Economic Development, the conference is scheduled for Thursday, October 26th, where 250 manufacturing delegates from across Ontario will come together at the Cobourg Community Centre to learn, share best practices, meet suppliers, expand their network and overall together strive for high performance.
This year’s conference includes the traditional favourites – relevant workshops, delicious catered breakfast and lunch, and supplier tradeshow. Guests also get the chance to tour local manufacturers, Canada Candy and Beneco Packaging. A great feature this year is a Women in Manufacturing Panel Discussion comprised of local industry women leaders. Aand catered breaks by our very own St. Mary’s High School culinary students – how exciting!
We’re thrilled to welcome to Cobourg keynotes speakers – Carrie Freestone, RBC Economist who will share the 2024 Industry Economic Outlook and Mike Fisher, Belden Solution Architecture Manager who will share the journey of how Belden has deployed their 4.0 strategy.
NMA Executive Director, Darla Price says: “This year our focus is on peer sharing. Most of our speakers are local industry leaders sharing their best practices and we are excited to welcome industry leaders from across Ontario. We hope to help them strengthen their knowledge, skills and create synergies across the industry – right here in Cobourg.”
