Food Banks Welcome Fresh Veggies
As food prices rise, Canada’s food banks also feel the pinch.
Besides the non-perishable foods that arrive at food banks, recipients welcome fresh veggies.
Just before the growing season, the Compost Council of Canada, through its ‘Plant-Grow-Share a Row’ program, offers seed packets to communities requesting that residents share a portion of their bounty from their garden.
