Opening Ceremony Tonight Officially Kicks Off Reunion

Campbellford – Fri., July 14, 2023 – Tonight at 7 p.m. the opening ceremony for the Centennial Reunion at Campbellford District High School will be held as hundreds of former students and teachers gather to celebrate. The celebration began unofficially yesterday and continues through to Sunday, so from July 13 to July 15.
From the classroom, to the football field, to the stage, CDHS has been the setting for countless formative memories and experiences over the years. Join your former classmates in remembering old times spent together, and learning where life has brought them since.
The public is welcome to go to the high school and check out all the displays in the decade rooms, memorial room and war room. And there’s lots more to see. This is all thanks to the CDHS Reunion Committee and there’s a long list of volunteers who are making this weekend reunion possible.
Reunite with your high school peers for a weekend of exciting activities. With events ranging from an open house, to a formal dinner, to an amazing variety show, there’s sure to be something for everyone.
Note there are tours of the Emergency Services Base in Campbellford too.
The Campbellford-Seymour Historical Society (www.csheritage.org), 113 Front Street North will be open during the Thursday-Sunday for guests to stop by and view Campbellford High School and Campbellford District High School related items at the Centre during the reunion.

The CDHS open house today begins at 1:00 pm and the doors will remain open until 11:00 p.m. There is a “social” this evening from 6 p.m. to 11 p.m. and tickets are required for the event. Tomorrow, Saturday, July 15 there is a pancake breakfast at Rotary Hall on Saskatoon Drive, from 8 a.m. to 10 a.m. and it is being put on by the Rotary Club of Campbellford. Tickets can be purchased online.
The CDHS open house on Saturday continues from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Then from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. at the Campbellford-Seymour Arena you can watch some talented CDHS alumni perform!
Scheduled performers include:

Holt, Matt Heidt, Ben Finley, Chelsea Bennet, Lachie Headrick, and
Trevor Harley - Kevin Weaver
- The FireLights Dance Troupe (Allison Townsend and others)
- Paul Thain aka Captain Elvis
There is a tea and social from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. at the high school tomorrow.
The dinner tomorrow evening at the local curling club has been sold out and this includes an evening of country music and dancing! Quiet networking and socializing is happening at the same time at the high school. There is also another venue for those wanting to rock and roll and dance at that is happening at the arena.
A pancake breakfast takes place again on Sunday morning from 8 a.m. to 10 a.m.
Tours of Ferris Provincial Park are happening on Sunday and again the Campbellford-Seymour Historical Society will be open.
The doors to CDHS will open at 10:30 a.m. on Sunday and will remain open until 3:00 p.m.
Also in the schedule is the Dan Hill performance at Westben on Sunday.
