Stylish Curtis Point tree house under construction

It’s not finished yet but a tree house with a Gambrel Barn roof that mimics a nearby farm house is drawing a lot of attention.
Scott Taylor, a farmer and repair mechanic, located on Curtis Point Road is building a unique playhouse for his grandchildren just like he did for his own kids. But this beauty, sitting high atop a huge 10-foot tree trunk, is a lot further from the ground than the first one.
And… it’s going to have two decks plus a circular stair case.
Granddaughter Elsie Perron, 3, looks up from the nearby climber made of tractor tires and says she plans to have her “toys” in sky-tickling yellow-and-white tree house and “play in it” with them.
The structure which sits atop a hill surrounded by farm fields also has an hexagon window, which replicates the one on the far end of the yellow-and-white farm house beside it.
Elsie’s mom, Melissa, who is due with her second child this fall, says seeing the tree house is “like reliving your childhood” and while this one has an above-ground pool next to it, the one she grew up with was in ground.
However, both share the similarity of having in-ground trampolines which delights Elsie as she is a great bouncer.
Parts of the playhouse such as the pine floor boards are built from lumber harvested on Taylor’s farm.
Once the decks are constructed, according to Taylor, at five and eight feet respectively, a tube and a straight slide will be added to the structure.
For neighbours passing by on Curtis Point road who have been monitoring the rise of this towering playhouse, work won’t be completed until the wheat harvest is over.
Which is no worry for Elsie as living right next door, she gets to play with the tree house’s on the ground toys whenever she wants, as she watches the construction of the kind of playhouse every child dreams about.
