A country market and nature fest is planned for Sunday, June 5 to support the Wesleyville Heritage Village, says one of the organizers Kathryn McColm.
From 10 am until 4 pm enjoy local food, collectibles and handicrafts for sale at 2082 Lakeshore Road, Port Hope. There will also be a yard sale and 13 spaces with these various items on view.
Organizers hope to raise $1,000 or more towards preserving the little village of Wesleyville where a care taker now lives year round in the “Y” house (named because of its structure), McHolm told the News Now Network.
The Friends of Wesleyville Village organization was formed in 2001 and for eight years this on-site fundraiser has been taking place, she said.
The Lions Club of Bewdley is providing lunch from 11 am until 3 pm.
Enjoy the nature trail, visit the 20th century, one-room school house, hunt among displays of everything from plants to prints.
